These works are by Danish artist Cay Brøndum. Instead of starting with a blank canvas, Brøndum starts with paper he recycles from old German instructional manuals, which date back some fifty years. Next he uses various printing techniques to add more details to the background before using ink and watercolors to create striking images of choppers and bobbers. The combination gives the artwork an industrial feel that fits well with the style of motorcycles he depicts.
These pieces are classy enough that you could probably hang them in your home without any grief from your wife, but until the exchange rate favors the dollar, I'll just have to view them from my computer.
